Elise and I picked Lola up from school today at 1 pm and we headed over to a local lake/park area nearby. This lake is cool because it has these wood and metal structures, made to look like little houses, that the kids can climb, big logs cut down for the kids to walk across and one of the logs is cut out and made to look like a car that they can sit in. There's a creek (which was dry today) and a lake nearby, complete with ducks. If we feel up to it, there's also some swings and a slide on the other side. Most times we just play by the wood stuff.
Anyway, it got very chilly there by around 3:30 so we headed home. On the way, I was feeling really happy and told the kids that I thought hot chocolate sounded really good. I had just bought some organic, fair trade cocoa from Trader Joe's and also their artisan marshmellows.
Upon seeing her hot chocolate with marshmellows, Elise was ecstatic. She insisted on having a spoon and proceeded to spoon every bit of that hot chocolate into her mouth as best she could. Her coordination is still that of a 2 year old, however, so very little actually made it into her mouth. Once she saw how much of it was on the table, she tried scooping it up with her hand to drink it.
Oh my.

Well they obviously had fun, and that's all that really matters right? We have been loving the T.J.'s hot cocoa, I must try the marshmallows(they are so good) in it! Thanks for the idea!
