So, in Quebec, we make these pies called "tortieres" during the holidays. Every region has their own style or recipe, but it's usually some kind of meat and potato inside. In our family, it's ground meat and potato inside. I have a family recipe that has been passed down at least 4 generations, but probably more. So I made a couple of normal sized pies and then a special little one (made in a custard cup) for Elise! So on her first birthday, she also had her first tortiere! It was so cute!
